Dax was only a little wore out from a weekend in Bear Lake. He slept the whole car ride to Nana and Pop's and then slept through a diaper change and the rest of the night. Luckily, we had a day to rest a little before heading to Yellowstone.
Before we left for Yellowstone, we went to Sharp's to meet baby William and play with his cousins.
This was Dax most of our Yellowstone trip - in his car seat passed out with his blankie! This was a pit stop on our way. Dax had to eat so we fed him in the Rexburg temple parking lot. Then we found a Costa Vida for us.
We stayed in a cabin in Island Park that had a hot tub - well, a warm tub. But that was fine because it meant Dax could swim, too!
Yellowstone - we got stuck behind a buffalo in the road every time coming in or going out of the park. Sometimes for hours!
All of his hats fit like those hipster beanies because of his large head. This was right before he got mobbed by a big group of Asian women who took about a million pics of him and kept pinching his cheeks. This happened multiple times during our trip too.
We got a little bored waiting for Old Faithful so Brian got a little creative with the camera.
Old Faithful going off. Dax was not impressed. He was much more interested in his teething ring.
We walked around and then watched Old Faithful go off again. This time a couple buffalo made their way over to watch, too.
Brian was having a lot of fun with our camera on this trip and went out to take pictures of the sunrise several times.
I love this pic! Pops is so happy!!
So more pics of our trip - -
We decided to let Dax try some big boy food on our trip. This was his taste of mandarin oranges.
We had so much fun during our trip to Utah. Before we left we also got to see Bradon and Joanna's new little baby girl and had lunch with Dan and Maddie, but we forgot to take pictures.
Our flight home went well. On our first flight, we sat next to an older, Chinese lady that loved Dax and wanted to hold him the whole time. She also taught Brian a bunch of Chinese words. Our flight was delayed and we had a very short layover so when we got to Chicago, we had to run to our gate to catch our connection. They were even doing a last call for us by name over the intercom as we ran from one terminal to another. We did make it though and it was a pretty empty flight so we got to take Dax's seat on and he slept the whole way.
Can't wait for our flight in December to see our family again!
