March Highlights

Here are some of our favorite moments from March -

Dax likes to take books behind the rocking chair in his room to look at them so I put a nursing pillow and throw pillow back there for him like a little reading chair.  He hangs out there all the time with his books and loves it.

Dax helping with the laundry.  He has a weird obsession with socks and seriously carried one or more of these socks around with him for the rest of the day.

We had a few warm days in March so we got to do things like eat popsicles and play at the park.

Speaking of warm, Dax has been such a hot body lately and gets super sweaty after playing for a while.

Free cone day at Dairy Queen. We may or may not have gone twice.

This one is super gross but has been part of our morning routine lately.  Dax has had a cold so we have been sucking his boogers out every morning and it is ridiculous how much comes out of that little nose. Dax hates it and I can't say that I blame him.  I tried it and it's not a good feeling.  Brian does enjoy cleaning the tube out though (which is what he is doing in this pic).

Easter with Visitors

We were lucky to have family visiting for Easter and some wonderful weather so we had a Easter egg hunt and spent the day outside.

Visitors

We had a full house for Dax's birthday and Easter.  Nana, Pops, Aunt Carrie, Grace, Elizabeth, Sarah, and William all come out for a visit.  Their first night here we colored Easter eggs.

On day 2 we were planning on going down to Hocking Hills for some hiking but the weather was bad.  So instead, we went to the Recreation Outlet to play on some swing sets and then we did a little hike to Hayden Falls.

Dax's 1st Birthday!

Dax had several visitors for his first birthday - Nana, Pops, Aunt Carrie, and cousins Grace, Elizabeth, Sarah, and William.  We spent the day at the zoo - where we met up with the Rutter's.  The weather was great and we spent all day there.  After the zoo, we headed home for dinner and birthday cake.  Dax didn't quite master blowing out the candle in time, he just wanted to grab the fire instead of blow it out. After cake, Dax opened and played with his presents.  He got some books, a soccer ball, a harmonica, a soccer goal, and a tunnel.

For treats at the zoo, we made tiger tails (chocolate covered pretzels), leopard ears (chocolate covered strawberries), and zebra toes (chocolate drizzled marshmallows).

Dax saying hi to everyone on the Google Hangouts call watching him eat his cake and open his presents.
